How AdmitOdds should be read

AdmitOdds is a planning tool. It helps students interpret admissions context and build a more realistic college list, but every estimate remains informational.

What AdmitOdds Estimates

AdmitOdds gives students an informational estimate of how their profile may compare with a college's admissions context. A personalized estimate is not the same thing as a college's published admit rate, and it is not an admissions decision.

Published Statistics Are Different

School pages may reference public statistics such as admit rates, academic ranges, deadlines, or cost details when those details are available in the product. Those figures describe a class, school, or program. They do not predict what will happen to one applicant.

Limits

Admissions outcomes depend on institutional priorities, applicant pools, timing, essays, recommendations, major or program fit, financial context, and many other factors that can change year to year. AdmitOdds can surface patterns and planning signals, but it cannot know every factor a college will use.

Freshness And Provenance

We aim to keep public school and planning pages aligned with the best available public information in the product. When a decision depends on an exact policy, deadline, test rule, cost, or Common Data Set value, students should verify it with the college's admissions office, official website, or Common Data Set.

How To Use The Output

Treat estimates as planning inputs for list balance, application strategy, and areas to improve. Do not treat a high estimate as a guarantee or a low estimate as a final denial.

Privacy And Terms

AdmitOdds handles student information under its posted privacy policy and terms. Students and families should review those pages before uploading personal application materials.
